Double Coin Holdings Ltd. and the China Manufacturers Alliance LLC (CMA) is supplying Double Coin trailer tires to Landoll Corp. under a new original equipment agreement.
The relationship started when Landoll began using the Double Coin’s 10.00R17.5 tire. Within a short period of time, the company decided to "carry that quality all the way to our customers,” says Jim Ladner, sales manager for Landoll’s Transportation Products Division.
Standard tires for Landoll’s trailer models include Double Coin’s RT500 in three sizes: 10.00R17.5, 255/70R 22.5 and 235/75R 17.5.
Landoll customers have been using more of the 255/70R22.5 tires on their removable goose neck trailers. The 10R17.5 tires recently have been replaced with the 235/75R17.5 tires for higher capacity (the higher capacity allows Landoll to offer a gross axle weight rating of 21,420 pounds for its heavy haul customers operating permit loads over 80,000 pounds),
Walt Weller, vice president of CMA, says being the standard tire on the complete line of Landoll trailers reflects well on the brand's quality because "the demands placed on the tires with this type of equipment are substantial."
