13th TDW hosts luau -- in Phoenix!

June 8, 2011

The people running the new TDW (Tire Dealer's Warehouse) distribution center in Phoenix, Ariz., didn't waste any time getting to know its customers.

A little more than one month after opening (see "TDW improves tire supply to Phoenix"), the facility hosted its first open house event, giving customers and their families an opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art warehouse and meet the Phoenix team.

The luau-themed event featured freshly made lemonade and kettle corn, bounce houses for the kids and an authentic pig roast. The evening ended with a raffle drawing, in which customers took home prizes donated by each of the 18 vendors in attendance, including Hercules tires from TDW's parent company, Hercules Tire & Rubber Co.

“The open house was an opportunity for our customers to not just hear who and what we are, but to come and experience TDW for themselves,” says Robert Carnahan, southwest regional general manager.

The 75,000-square-foot facility serves the entire state of Arizonia, It is the 13th TDW in the United States.
