The Alabama Tire Dealers Association (ATDA) has awarded seven educational scholarships to deserving youth in Alabama.
The 2011 scholarship winners are:
1. Parker Warren (sponsored by Warren Tire & Auto Center Inc. in Tuscaloosa).
2. Ridge Wilks (sponsored by Wilks Tire & Battery Service in Albertville).
3. Thomas Barrett (sponsored by S & S Tire Wholesale in Birmingham).
4. Evan Thomas Strother (sponsored by Steed Tire Service in Brundidge).
5. Mary Elizabeth Seale (sponsored by Westmoreland Tire Co. Inc. in Fort Payne).
6. Cody Page (sponsored by American Tire Distributors Inc. in Cullman).
7. Dylan Ross Higginbotham (sponsored by McGriff Tire/McGriff Industries in Cullman).
The scholarship winners will be honored at the ATDA Annual Scholarship Banquet on June 11 in Orange Beach, Ala.
Each year, scholarships are awarded to ATDA members, their employees and their family members. Awards are made on the basis of financial need, student character, citizenship and scholastic ability. To date, ATDA has awarded more $125,000 in scholarships.
