Monro upgrades software as it grows

Monro Muffler Brake uses a new, customized version of the VAST POS system from Aftersoft Network N.A. Inc . The two companies have been partners for more than 25 years.

Aftersoft modified the VAST POS application to meet the company's specific service and tire store requirements, and will provide integration to ALLDATA's labor times and factory scheduled maintenance data using the ISHOP integration connectivity standard.

Monro Muffler, fourth on the Modern Tire Dealer 100 list, has 780 retail locations nationwide, including 291 tire dealerships. It recently purchased Vespia Tire Centers Inc., a 24-store chain based in South River, N.J.

Monro recorded net income of $45.8 million on net sales of $636.7 million for its fiscal year 2011 ended March 26, 2011.
