Chrysler chooses Firestone for flagship sedans

May 11, 2011

The Firestone FR710 will be standard equipment on the new 2011 Chrysler 300 Ltd. and 300C luxury sedans. The Firestone Firehawk GT will be optional equipment for the same models.

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC (BATO) will supply the highly refined Chrysler flagship sedans with specially designed and engineered FR710 all-season performance tires in size P225/60R18 99T. When equipped with the optional "touring-tuned suspension," the 2011 Chrysler 300 Limited and 300C models will feature wider 245/45R20 99V Firehawk GT all-season performance tires.

“The Chrysler 300 series sedans combine luxury and performance from a long-standing, iconic brand," says Michael Martini, president of original equipment consumer tires in the United States and Canada. "The Firestone brand has a reputation in its own right of being a top performance tire.”

Both the Firestone FR710 and Firestone Firehawk GT are engineered with the company’s exclusive UNI-T technology, which "delivers performance attributes such as practical all-season traction capability." The Firehawk GT also features an advanced technology called Veri-Pitch that minimizes pattern and road noises often found in performance tires.
