Chrysler Group LLC has chosen the Firestone Firehawk GT Pursuit tire as an original equipment fitment for its ready-for-duty 2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit.
Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC will supply the tire in size P225/60R18. the tire is W-rated.
The Firestone Firehawk GT Pursuit is specifically designed for law enforcement use. It combines wet and dry handling with an emphasis on quick steering response. It features the following three technologies:
* a high silica tread compound, designed to enhances traction and breaking on wet roads; the ultimate result is improved cornering.
* Veri-Pitch technology. The tire's random pattern of tread blocks helps minimize noise.
* an asymmetric tread pattern. A "cut-up block and groove" design on the inside edge of the tread pattern channels water way from the tread footprint.
