Motul increases its commitment to MotoGP for 2011

April 13, 2011

Considered the pinnacle of international motorcycle road racing; MotoGP is an eighteen-race series spanning Europe, Asia, Australia and North America, and is viewed on television broadcasts throughout the world.

Motul has been an integral part of the championship for more than a third of the series’ 63-year history. Considered as a vital test bench and living laboratory for its motorcycle lubricant products, Motul has benefited from its involvement in MotoGP.  The company continues to develop very specialized, experimental lubricants to deal specifically with the temperature extremes associated with the high performance engines used in this discipline.  Motorcycle enthusiasts benefit from this involvement with high grade lubricant products for their street machines.

For the 2011 MotoGP season, Motul will have a greater presence with signage at 10 of the 18 tracks visited.  Motul ‘corners’ will be seen at the following rounds of the 2011 MotoGP: Jerez, and Motorland in Spain, Great Britain, Germany, Malaysia, Italy, France, Japan, USA and Australia. Motul will also continue its long-standing partnership with the Monster Energy Grand Prix de France at Le Mans on May 15th.

In addition, Motul continues as technical partner for two teams pursuing the championship title – Rizla Suzuki MotoGP and Monster Yamaha Tech 3 – and will be celebrating its 23rd and 22nd years of collaboration with them respectively.  The Motul brand is a former, two-time world champion with Suzuki.

MotoGP comes to the United States July 24 at Laguna Seca Raceway in California; and at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on August 28.  Look for the Motul USA display at both events.  To learn more about the MotoGP event schedule, log onto www.motogp.com.
