Chip Foose, owner and chief designer of Foose Design Inc., recently signed on as spokesman for 3M Co. in Latin America.

The multiyear agreement between the 3M Latin America Automotive Aftermarket Division and Foose Design requires Foose to promote 3M automotive aftermarket products in Mexico, South America and the Caribbean.

Foose also stars in the TLC Network's “Overhaulin.”

“I have been using the great automotive aftermarket products of 3M since I was a kid working in my dad’s shop," he said.

Scheduled to activate in the second quarter of 2011, the partnerhip includes the following:

* tapes,

* abrasives,

* spray guns and

* paint finishing systems.

Other 3M product categories are likely to be added to the multiyear agreement.

The partnership also includes potential licensed products, in-store and distributor promotions, media outreach, and appearances by Foose in the region. According to Antonio Osuna, 3M business director for Latin America, Foose has amazing recognition and credibility in Latin America.

“I have traveled to Latin and South America many times during the past few years and I am continually impressed by the automotive passion and craftsmanship there,” Foose added.
