IMR’s data mapped to ACES codes

Feb. 14, 2011

Automotive research source IMR Inc. announced that its Replacement Rate Data is now mapped to Aftermarket Catalog Enhanced Standards (ACES) codes, available for 140 parts and services, and can be customized by geographic region. Additional data is available that helps quantify both DIFM and DIY activity for all service events, channel share metrics representing all service outlets (new car dealers, independent repair shops, retailers, etc.) as well as consumer demographics.

“IMR can help your business with information that will empower you to make smarter, more profitable decisions,” says Bill Thompson, president and CEO of IMR Inc. “In order to do that, you need replacement rate data that is cost-effective and can easily be integrated with other data sources to provide the efficiencies that you’re trying to achieve.”

IMR says the data can be integrated with providers of ACES information for inventory management solutions, and Replacement Rate Data can also be combined with Experian Automotive’s AutoCount Vehicles in Operation data to help aftermarket companies make “build or buy,” assortment planning and product obsolescence decisions.
