Falken Tire Corp. has hired Victor Angon as its new off road supervisor.
The move follows the company's increased emphasis on its Wildpeak A/T tire line. Introduced in 2009 at the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show (see "Falken gets wild with new light truck tire"), the all-terrain tire and Falken competed at the 88th running of the Pikes Peak race last year.
Falken capped off 2010 as the presenting sponsor of Off Road Evolution's JK Experience, which featured the Falken Jeep JK with Wildpeak A/T tires.
Several 37-inch sizes were added to the lineup this year.
Angon says he looks forward to helping the Falken brand become a regular name in the off-road industry.
"Victor's background and experience will help us continue to stay focused on progressing our program," says Nick Fousekis, Falken's motorsports & events director.
