TRIB exec to speak at tire dealer convention

Jan. 6, 2011

David Stevens, the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau’s (TRIB) managing director, will be a featured speaker at the Louisiana Independent Tire Dealers Association’s (LITDA) “Trends & Treads 2011” annual convention and trade show in New Orleans Feb. 24-26.

"It's a great opportunity for me to use my background in marketing to discuss with LITDA members ideas for improving their marketing and branding efforts across both retail and wholesale locations,” says Stevens. “We'll look at some very specific strategies that have been successful within the tire industry that companies have used to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction."

Stevens joined TRIB last November following an almost two-decade career leading marketing, sales and customer service efforts for Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. and worldwide.

Most recently, he served as the vice president of international marketing, sales and customer service for E*TRADE based in London, where he was responsible for all of E*TRADE's branding and marketing activities outside the US. Prior to that, he held a variety of marketing roles with AOL in the U.S., Japan and the UK, as well as marketing roles in the credit card industry with FirstUSA and in the telecommunications industry with MCI Telecommunications.
