Alcoa introduces light truck wheel sizes

Dec. 19, 2003

Alcoa Wheel & Forged Products, a subsidiary of Alcoa Inc., is adding 23 one-piece aluminum wheels to its light truck wheel line.

The new sizes include 17-, 16- and 15-inch diameter wheels with 8-, 10- or 12-inch widths. They are designed to fit many domestic models, including Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet half-ton and three-quarter-ton trucks. The new wheels also fit imported vehicles.

Alcoa plans to introduce the new wheels in phases. The 17-inch wheels will be available by January 2004. The new 16-inch wheels will follow. The timetable calls for 15-inch wheels to be available by mid-2004.

The new one-piece, hot forged wheels feature Classic round hand hole styling. Alcoa continues to offer hot forged aluminum wheels in LTS spoke, Magnum and Hot Shot styles.
