Service Tire Truck Centers (STTC), based in Bethlehem, Pa., has expanded its presence in the Washington, D.C., metro market with the addition of two stores in Maryland.

Earlier this year, STTC purchased Service Tire, a one-store operation in Gaithersburg, Md. Murph Richards, president of the Service Tire outlet in Maryland, will remain in Gaithersburg as branch manager.

STTC also added an eight bay commercial service center in Capitol Heights, Md. The dealership has four stores in Maryland and 21 overall.

"We see a great growth market for a service-driven company in the Washington, D.C., metro market," says Scott Bennett, STTC's vice president of sales.

STTC has outlets in four states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. It is the fourth largest independent commercial tire dealer in the United States, according to Modern Tire Dealer's top commercial dealers list.
