ITE: Bridgestone makes lifestyle change with Fuzion

Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC introduced its latest tire at the International Tire Expo (ITE) today. Called the Fuzion ZRi, the tire is targeted at the sport compact market.

"It's really a new lifestyle for us," says Phil Pacsi, executive director of North American consumer tire brand marketing. "This is our first tire designed specifically to appeal to the tuner market segment."

Bridgestone/Firestone is trying to appeal to 18-21-year-olds with the Fuzion, which features the company's UNI-T technology. It has a directional tread pattern.

The tire, produced in 35 Z-, V- and H-rated sizes, will be available to the aftermarket in March 2004. Sizes will range from 16 to 21 inches.
