Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. recently promoted George McAfee to director of quality assurance for the tire group.
In his new position, McAfee is responsible for establishing and directing activities that assure tire group products comply with governmental regulations and safety standards. They also must meet company specifications and quality and reliability standards.
McAfee succeeds John Bodart, who has accepted an assignment as plant manager at the Cooper-Standard Automotive NVH facility in Auburn, Ind.
McAfee joined Cooper in 1999 as an operations research analyst. Most recently, he served as program manager for Cooper’s Integrated Supply Chain and Inventory Management initiative.
