Coast Tire & Auto Service based in Saint John, New Brunswick, has signed an agreement to acquire Herman's Auto Service in Halifax.
Herman's is a Goodyear tire dealer with three retail outlets in Greater Halifax, as well as a wholesale tire division, and is currently owned by David Herman, Don Herman and Tony Short.
"Coast Tire currently has seven locations in Nova Scotia," says Ron Outerbridge, president and majority owner of Coast Tire. "The addition of these locations will significantly improve our service capabilities for our retail, commercial and wholesale customers in Halifax."
The addition of the Herman's outlets brings Coast Tire's total to 25, making it the 48th largest independent tire dealer in North America, according to Modern Tire Dealer data.
