Continental Tire North America Inc. is relaunching its General Grabber light truck tire line with the help of the new General Grabber AT2.
The all-terrain tire features an aggressive tread pattern. It also has a high-tech square profile, and is designed with cut and chip resistant compounds and a special bead protector.
"We designed the Grabber AT2 for driving through areas other tires have to go around," says Jim Mayfield, director of General brand management. "At the same time, the tire also maintains its road manners, providing a safe and comfortable highway ride."
The new tire will be available in 26 popular sizes by October. It was a feature attraction on the General Tire Baseball USA Tour, a 12-week tour of major and minor league ballparks the company set up for its dealers.
