Fletcher's Tire announces 'aggressive' growth plan

June 9, 2003

"My long range plan," says Jerry Fletcher, president of Phoenix, Ariz.-based Fletcher's Tire & Auto Service Inc., "is to open nine facilities over the next three years."

The dealership currently has 21 stores and plans to open two more outlets within the next 90 days.

"We're going into outlying markets, where there is residential growth," says Fletcher.

"A lot of these areas have two- or three-car families."

He plans to invest $1 million in each outlet to get them up and running.

Fletcher's Tire & Auto Service is the 55th largest independent tire store chain in North America, according to Modern Tire Dealer data.

Last year, it reported $21.5 million in sales, an increase over the previous year.
