Michelin North America Inc. is the newest member of the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA).
EDTA’s membership is comprised of a diverse consortium of nearly 100 automotive manufacturers, energy providers, state and local governments, and others interested in promoting the use of electric drive technologies through policy, marketing and public education initiatives; Michelin is the only tire manufacturer.
"Michelin North America embodies the spirit of EDTA by inspiring action to move electric drive technologies from the drawing boards to the highways through the Challenge Bibendum," says EDTA President Kateri Callahan.
Challenge Bibendum annually tests the best available technologies for environmentally positive cars, heavy-duty trucks and buses. The event features participation from major auto manufacturers on three continents, as well as involvement from government, energy and business sectors.
This year’s Challenge Bibendum will be held in Sonoma and San Francisco, Calif., from September 23-25.
