Treadways Corp. launches Treadnet e-commerce program

May 7, 2003

Treadways Corp. has launched its e-commerce program called Treadnet, a business-to-business, Internet-based system that allows Treadways customers to place and monitor product orders 24/7 online.

With the click of a mouse, a Treadways customer can receive quick and accurate account information. Participating members will have access to real-time inventory levels and open-order ship dates, as well as be able to view and print current and historical invoices.

Treadnet is offered to Centennial, Eldorado, Jetzon, Sumitomo and Telstar customers who have Internet access and is accessible through six of Treadways' Web sites:

www.centennialtire.com

www.eldoradotire.com

www.jetzontire.com

www.sumitomotire.com

www.telstartire.com

The Web sites contain tire maintenance tips, contact information and brand literature in a pdf format, which can be downloaded and printed instantly, the company says. Also, Treadnet includes product data such as tire photos and specifications.

The site is accessed through the "Treadnet Login" link located on the six home pages, with an assigned login and password. Eligible customers will receive a registration form via e-mail. Treadnet is not being offered to TreadXpress customers at this time due to the complexity of the business, but will be offered in the near future, says Treadways.

The Web site will allow the customer service team to become more proactive and involved in product sales, the company reports. "Our reps will still monitor orders and tire shipments, so we will continue to provide personal contact in addition to the online service," says Bob Smith, Treadways' customer service manager. "One of the primary benefits of Treadnet is that orders and account information can now be accessed 24 hours a day. This allows our customers to conduct business with us whenever they choose."
