Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. opened a new distribution center in New Lenox, Ill., its sixth nationwide.
The 120,000-square-foot warehouse, located in a Chicago suburb, will cater to Kumho tire dealers and consumers in the Midwest.
"Our dealers demand just-in-time delivery," says David Hudrlik, Kumho's vice president and director of sales. "The addition of our Chicago center gives us six distribution facilities spread throughout the U.S. and ensures that we can get tires to any of our dealers within 24 hours."
The other five distribution centers are located in Atlanta, Ga.; Columbus, Ohio; Dallas, Texas; Fontana, Calif.; and Memphis, Tenn. The company, based in Fontan, also has a 50,000-square-foot technical center in Akron, Ohio.
