Maxxis International has been chosen one of Ford Motor Co.'s top suppliers in the world for 2002.
For its efforts, Maxxis received Ford's Silver World Excellence Award. The "Gold" and "Silver" Awards are given to suppliers that excel in quality, delivery and cost performance.
Twelve suppliers received Gold Awards in 2002; 16 won Silver Awards.
Maxxis is one of Ford's most valuable partners, according to Tony Brown, Ford's vice president of global purchasing. Without its "extraordinary contributions, we could not have achieved many of our goals in 2002."
