Bridgestone/Firestone plant reaches milestone

Feb. 6, 2003

Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire's Warren County, Tenn., plant produced its 20-millionth tire today -- a Bridgestone M726, size 295/75R22.5.

"We have reached this great milestone thanks to the hard work and dedication of our employees in Warren County," says Dennis Ringgenberg, plant manager. "Without their teamwork, we wouldn't be here today. I want to personally congratulate them for this outstanding achievement."

The Warren County commercial facility has a capacity of 7,500 radial truck and bus tires a day, according to Modern Tire Dealer's 2003 Facts Issue.

Bridgestone/Firestone celebrated the accomplishment with a ceremony at the facility. Plant employees were encouraged to sign the 20-millionth tire, which will be displayed in the plant’s lobby.

The Warren County plant produced its first tire in 1990. It employs more than 1,000 people.
