Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc. (BAH) will help stage several teen drivers education seminars this year.

BAH is partnering with Driver's Edge, a non-profit youth driver education program, to plan and carry out 10 teen driving events, which will include classroom seminars and road course driving.

The first one is set for Feb. 8 in Phoenix, Ariz.

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for 15- to 20-year-olds, according to federal statistics.

"Driver education of this group is extremely important," says Mark Emkes, chairman, CEO and president of Bridgestone/Firestone North America Tire LLC.
