Bridgestone introduces Potenza RE750

Jan. 21, 2003

Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC has added another line to its Potenza tire family -- the Potenza RE750.

The ultra-high performance tire features a unidirectional tread pattern, and has been engineered to reduce road noise, even as the tread wears, according to the company.

Other features of the RE750 include:

* improved wear for performance applications compared to similar Bridgestone products.

* good wet and dry handling.

* UNI-T (an acronym for Ultimate Network of Intelligent Tire Technologies). Bridgestone tires featuring UNI-T offer drivers precise handling, reduced noise, a smooth ride and outstanding control, according to Bridgestone/Firestone.

* Rim Guard, a raised rubber edge that acts like a bumper to protect wheels from curb damage.

The Bridgestone Potenza RE750 will be available in 15-, 16-, 17- and 18-inch sizes in April. Eight sizes, including 255/35WR20, will be introduced on May 1.

Three sizes will be available June 1: 205/45WR16, 245/45WR16 and 265/35WR18.

The Bridgestone Potenza RE750 will be backed by the company's "Platinum Pact" three-year limited warranty, which provides replacement at no charge (excluding taxes and disposal fees) if the tire should become unusable due to defects in materials or workmanship for up to three years from date of purchase or four years from date of manufacture, whichever occurs first.
