TIA reports record-breaking number of first-time exhibitors

Jan. 15, 2003

More first-time exhibitors have signed up for booths at the World Tire Expo than ever before, says the Tire Industry Association (TIA).

The show will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Ky., March 26-29, 2003.

"We are excited at the expansion in new exhibiting companies for 2003," says TIA President Tom Raben. "This variety of new companies will bring a more diverse product base to the show floor and will establish World Tire Expo as the key event for the commercial tire, tire retreading/repairing, and tire and rubber recycling markets."

First-time exhibitors include Action Equipment Co., Exactra, Flamex, Marathon Equipment, Premier Rubber Co., Spallinger AutoClave and TCS software. Exhibit hours open on March 27.

And because there will be more than 100 exhibiting companies, TIA has arranged for expo attendees to be able to schedule VIP buying hour appointments online.

"Because we will have an unprecedented number of new exhibiting companies, it is critical for attendees to schedule exclusive time to learn about the new products and services," says Raben. "The online set-up for these appointments will create a smooth process that should allow everyone the access that they need to key industry suppliers."

Online VIP buying hour appointments are available at www.WorldTireExpo.org. Attendees can also register online for all World Tire Expo events and housing. Registering online can get you up to a 50% discount on some special events, TIA notes.
