Software marketer AutoWare Technologies LLC has signed a deal to market WheelWorks Inc.'s TireMountMate tool.
TireMountMate helps dealers determine width and off-set for wheel well clearance by simulating actual rims, according to AutoWare officials.
The device extends from 14 to 28 inches in diameter using vertical extensions and seven to 15 inches in width.
It clamps to an empty tire and then bolts to the vehicle's hub to let users check for clearance.
AutoWare also will be launching a tire and wheel training program that will teach salespeople technical aspects of custom wheels and tires; seminars will be held either on-site at dealerships or at a local site for multiple dealers.
