Dayco Names President for EMEA and India

Dec. 15, 2015

Dayco Products LLC has named Bruno Vallillo president of its business in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa. As president Vallillo will manage the company’s original equipment and aftermarket businesses in these regions, including sales, manufacturing, distribution, and all support functions.

Vallillo has extensive experience in sales, marketing and engineering. He joined Dayco in 2006 and has played a key role in the company’s growth in the European and South American aftermarkets. He has held multiple positions of increasing responsibility within the company, such as senior product manager, marketing director, vice president and general manager. Most recently, he served as president of Dayco’s aftermarket business in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, and has increased sales while launching new products specifically designed for these markets.

Prior to joining Dayco, Vallillo worked for the Schaeffler Group for 18 years where he held various positions both in the aftermarket and OE divisions of the business.

“Dayco has taken significant strides in growing our business over the past several years,” says John Bohenick, Dayco's CEO. “Bruno will continue to help Dayco meet its goal of improving how the world moves by creating products, systems and relationships that endure.”

At the same time, the current president of Dayco’s business in Europe and India, Bernd Winterhagen, will be retiring from the company. Winterhagen has worked for Dayco since 1980 and has led its teams in Europe and India for more than 35 years. During those 35 years, Winterhagen held many different management positions and board assignments. Under Winterhagen’s leadership, Dayco has grown its business in China, Europe and South America, completed multiple strategic acquisitions and opened several manufacturing and distribution facilities worldwide.

“Bernd’s contributions and steadfast performance have made Dayco a stronger, truly global organization,” says Bohenick. “While he will be missed at Dayco, our associates wish Bernd the best on his well-deserved retirement.”
