Kumho Tire USA Inc. has relocated its corporate headquarters from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., to Atlanta, Ga.
The company says the new location will help streamline internal communication and cooperation by placing management and support staff near its distribution center in McDonough and new factory in Macon.
The Macon plant is Kumho’s first in the U.S. It is scheduled to begin producing four million tires annually in January 2016. The plant will be dedicated to OE production in its first phase of operation, which will enable Kumho to increase replacement capacity at other plants.
Kumho continues to operate a distribution warehouse in Rancho Cucamonga. The logistics, warranty and customer service departments to support West Coast time zones remain there.
