Vipal Marks 14-Year Partnership With 2 Jamaican Companies

Nov. 11, 2015

Vipal Rubber Corp. is celebrating a 14-year partnership with two Jamaican companies, Jamaica Ultimate Tyre Co. and Jamaica Urban Transit Company Limited (JUTC).

Jamaica Ultimate Tyre Co. is a retreader. JUTC is a public transportation company created in 1998. The JUTC fleet consists of 570 buses, which use Vipal’s VZA80 tread and retreads on about 200 tires per month with the Jamaica Ultimate Tyre Co.

For Vipal, which invests to generate benefits via tire retreading in the 90-plus companies where it operates, achieving this kind of recognition from the government is crucial. “When companies in the public transportation industry have been using tyres retreaded with our products for over 14 years, that is the best evidence of the quality and safety they provide,” says Vipal’s commercial manager in the U.S., Frederico Schmidt.

Borrachas Vipal S/A was founded in 1973 and manufactures tire retread and tire inner tube repair products. The company exports to all continents and also has distribution centers in South America, North America, Europe and Oceania. The company established Vipal Rubber Corp. in 1992, headquartered in Miami, Fla., to serve the U.S. market. The company has more than 3 million pounds of precure rubber in inventory at its Miami and Norfolk, Va., logistic centers. For more information, visit www.vipal-usa.com.
