2015 AAPEX: Schaeffler Launches Technical and Training Website For North American Market

Nov. 3, 2015

Schaeffler Group’s North American Aftermarket business unit unveiled a new website that delivers technical, training and product support at the 2015 Automotive Aftermarket Product Expo (APPEX) in Las Vegas.

The company says three advantages set the new Repxpert 2.0 website apart from similar offerings:

* Repxpert 2.0 provides all content in one location;

* Repxpert trainers offer customized training courses and sessions; and

* Repxpert 2.0 features an online product catalog powered by OptiCat in real-time and updated daily.

Before Repxpert 2.0, there was Repxpert 1.0, which was released for the European market in 2014. Schaeffler says it began to develop a comprehensive, modular-based system that could provide the strength, knowledge and expertise of its global network with content customized by market.

The new North American site includes all relevant content for both the U.S. and Canadian vehicle population and Schaeffler products.

To see the new website, visit www.repxpert.us in the U.S. and www.repxpert.ca in Canada. The company says it provided different suffixes to the addresses for the convenience of the user in their home country. The company expects to launch a website with market-specific content for the Mexico vehicle population in late 2016.

Registration is required to view the content, and registration is free. All technical and product materials are available to download for free to registered users.

Repxpert is currently available for tablets. An app for Android and Apple phones is being developed..

“Schaeffler strongly believes a direct connection between suppliers and professional installers is the most important means of providing on-the-job support,” says Urs Stuckenbruck, director, product management and marketing, Automotive Aftermarket - North America.

“Through Repxpert, we take our service and support commitment to the next level: by delivering necessary diagnostic, product, and repair information direct to distributors, counter personnel, and installers all in one convenient location.”

Schaeffler manufactures and distributes products to the automotive aftermarket under the brands LuK, INA, FAG and Ruville including drivetrain, engine and chassis system products.
