Bridgestone Retail Operations LLC does not sell all brands at its company-owned retail chains. Pep Boys-Manny, Moe & Jack sells some brands not found at any Bridgestone store.

Which brands will survive the acquisition of Pep Boys by Bridgestone?

At this point, no one knows, and Bridgestone has yet to give any clues as to its plans. However, there are some interesting pairings when each of Bridgestone's retail chains and Pep Boys are analyzed.

Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich looked at all the brands and all the chains, and offers up his analysis in his latest blog, "Predicting Tire Brand Addition and Subtraction at Pep Boys."

You might think there is no way Bridgestone would sell brands from its fellow Tier 1 competitors at any of its stores, but it does, so even they are not persona non grata.
