Automotive Distribution Network Adds Shareholder

Oct. 15, 2015

Automotive Aftermarket Holding Co. (AAHC) has joined the Automotive Distribution Network (Network) as a shareholder member.

“The addition of AAHC as a shareholder will help boost the Network’s purchase volume on nontraditional product lines while providing opportunities for joint purchasing through the Network Products co-op warehouse,” says David Prater, Network president.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Marubeni Corp., AAHC joined the Network as part of the company’s ongoing strategy to grow its business, according to Mike Wiegand, vice president of purchasing and supply chain for AAHC.

“AAHC has experienced significant growth over the last several years, and we feel the Network is the right partner to expand along with us,” Wiegand says.

“AAHC’s focus has been high volume and velocity commodity products whereas most of the Network members are focused on traditional hard parts, so we complement each other really well. Together, we can continue to help grow our respective businesses.”

The Automotive Distribution Network is a program group operating under the brands of Parts Plus, Parts Plus Mexico, IAPA and Auto Pride.
