Michelin Gives $100,000 for South Carolina Flood Relief

Oct. 12, 2015

South Carolina-based Michelin North America Inc. has donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross in support of flood-relief efforts underway in its home state.

"Because of the hard work and dedication of the people who live and work across South Carolina, Michelin has become one of the largest private employers in the state," says Pete Selleck, chairman and president of Michelin North America. "Like so many others in the Midlands and the Lowcountry, the lives of Michelin families have been uprooted by the recent floods.

"We are deeply moved by the devastating images and accounts. Michelin's donation to American Red Cross is an effort to help all the families touched by the floods start the long process of rebuilding."
