Kumho Tire Co. Inc. is the sole supplier for the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR. A specially designed version of Kumho’s newest ultra-high performance summer product, the Ecsta V720 will be fitted onto the ACR model of the fifth generation Viper.
Kumho says the Ecsta V720 (Viper Edition) has tested to provide lap times that are 1.5 seconds faster than every other competitive benchmark tire due to its unique compound and tread design targeted specifically for the Dodge Viper ACR. A large road contact patch is provided with a staggered fitment of 295/55R19(F) and 355/30R19(R), which provides sustainable cornering even at 1.5-Gs.
The Ecsta V720 (Viper Edition) is constructed with reinforced outside shoulder blocks for driving stability and features an asymmetric pattern for increased stability and control, according to the company. It has been optimized to provide the enthusiastic driving habits of Viper owners the confidence that they need to maximize their high-speed, aggressive travels on and off the track.
Kumho says the Ecsta V720 (Viper Edition) is cosmetically designed with a unique sidewall showcasing the ACR logo along with a snakeskin detailed pattern.
The 2016 Dodge Viper joins a group of Fiat-Chrysler vehicles that are fitted with Kumho tires, including the Chrysler 200, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Journey. Production of the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR is slated to begin in July 2015 at FCA US Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit.
