Sullivan Tire workers win 60th anniversary prizes

July 10, 2015

Sullivan Tire Co Inc. is celebrating its 60th anniversary and the company's employees with a "60 prizes in 60 days" campaign. Since July 1 all 1,300 of Sullivan Tire's employees are entered into drawings and winners are selected at random for daily prizes.

“We wanted to create a fun and engaging way to celebrate our 60 year milestone with the people that helped get us here…our employees,” says Paul Sullivan, vice president of Sullivan Tire. “We appreciate the effort they put in each and every day to take care of our customers across New England.”

The drawings will be videotaped and posted onto Sullivan Tire’s employee portal each day to announce the winners. Prizes include a GoPro Camera, kayak, iPad mini, $500 cash, gas grill, and a meet and greet with Red Sox player Dustin Pedroia. One employee will take home a diamond pendant, in honor of Sullivan Tire’s diamond anniversary.

More than 25% of Sullivan Tire's employees have been with the company for at least 10 years, and nearly 40 employees work alongside members of their own family, the company says. Some of that longevity likely comes from year-round programs the company provides, including the annual holiday fund, where employees are given a check each November related to their number of years of service to Sullivan Tire. The Norwell, Mass.-based company also helps employees expand their educations with financial support.

Sullivan Tire is No. 11 on the 2014 Modern Tire Dealer 100.
