Kentucky Speedway gets in a ‘Quaker State of Mind’

In its second year of a multi-year entitlement sponsorship, Quaker State will return to the challenging 1.5 mile, tri-oval Kentucky Speedway on Saturday, July 11.

The highly anticipated Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts, part of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, will air at 7:30 p.m. EST on NBC Sports Network.
 
“The Quaker State 400 provides a tremendous atmosphere for passionate motorsports fans, and we plan to amplify that race-day experience both on and off the track,” said Gita Gidwani, Quaker State Global Brand Manager. “We’ve worked hand-in-hand with our partners to create unique opportunities for all attendees to get in a ‘Quaker State of mind’ at Kentucky Speedway this July.”
 
Race Fan Experiences:
At the race, fans will have the chance to get in on all the action as the green flag waves on July 11. With Quaker State-green rally towels in hand, race-goers are encouraged to wave on their favorite drivers to the starting line.

Fans will have the opportunity for an autograph session with Paul Menard, driver of the No. 27 Quaker State-Menards Chevrolet.

A Quaker State display tent will be buzzing with games, giveaways and prizes to win, including a photo booth for social media sharing. Fans will also be given an opportunity to register to win a 2015 Dodge Ram “Big Horn” Crew Cab 4X4 pickup truck at the Fishing League Worldwide Quaker State display.
 
Quaker State ‘Race Team’:
The Advance Auto Parts RV will be rolling into town, stop by for an opportunity to receive great prizes, such as branded merchandise and coupons. And be sure to stop by during a visit from Sprint Cup driver Alex Bowman in the RV display area.

Tommy Pike Customs will return to Kentucky for a second year with Quaker State and supercharge the area with the custom built 2015 Quaker State Mustang GT which is still hot from running in the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour, lots of giveaways and other Tommy Pike Custom vehicles. Fans can meet Tommy Pike and receive autographed posters on Friday and Saturday.

Fishing League Worldwide pro-anglers Jimmy Houston and Matt Arey will have fans ‘hooked’ on their interactive fishing clinics and Quaker State casting pond. Both anglers will be available to sign autographs and take fan questions.

The race footprint will reach new heights as Team Aero Shell, an aerobatic flight team, will perform an awe-inspiring air show, kicking off the race with a ceremonial flyover.
