May 12, 2015

The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG) of the Auto Care Association is offering a scholarship of $6,250 to one young auto care professional to attend the University of the Aftermarket’s 2015-2016 Leadership 2.0 program. The scholarship will cover the price of tuition, class materials and meals.

Leadership 2.0 is the premier post-graduate style leadership and business skills education program designed to promote the development of the next generation of auto care leaders. It is an intense and intellectually-challenging two-week executive development and learning experience that features well-known speakers and invaluable networking opportunities with top-level industry leaders.

“From personal experience I have learned a ton at this class, says Michael Rukov, chairman of YANG, "from mingling with the top of the crop of our industry, and receiving valuable knowledge on managing your business and helping your company grow. This class has been a part of our industry for over 20 years and most of the current leaders of our industry have been through this program at some point in their career. This scholarship gives you a privilege to be a part of this class absolutely free-of-charge.”

Graduates receive 7.0 CEUs toward their AAP and MAAP designations. Session I is held on Aug. 23-28, 2015, at the Northwood University in Midland, Mich. The location for Session II on April 24-29, 2016, will be announced.

Applicants must be a current YANG member. YANG members are industry professionals aged 39 or younger with a minimum of two consecutive years of relevant outstanding work experience in the auto care industry. Their employer must also be a current Auto Care Association member in good standing. An application and full criteria of all materials needed for consideration can be found on the YANG Connect site.
