Jack Williams Tire Co. Inc. has acquired Pittston Tire and Auto Service. The Pittston, Pa., store will become Jack Williams Tire’s 31st outlet and its 10th location in the Wyoming Valley area.

“I have decided that merging my operation with Jack Williams Tire Co. will benefit my long time, loyal customers and my hardworking and dedicated employees,” says Ed Grasavage, president and owner of Pittston Tire.

Grasavage and his eight employees have accepted positions with Jack Williams Tire and will remain at the Pittston location. Pittston Tire and Auto Service, which was established in 1974, provides sales and service of trailer tires, lawn and garden tires, passenger car, performance, light truck and SUV tires as well as mechanical services.

“We’re excited to finally be part of the Pittston community. It’s impressive to see the revitalization and the passion the local community has in redeveloping downtown,” says Bill Williams, CEO and chairman of Jack Williams Tire.

The company says it looks forward to participating in local events and supporting the Pittston community in addition to servicing Pittston Tire customers.

Over the next few weeks, Jack Williams Tire will update and rebrand the Pittston location to offer additional products and services, as well as extended hours. To support growth plans for the new location, the company plans to hire tire installers and service technicians.

Founded in 1929 in Kingston, Pa., Jack Williams Tire is a third generation, family-owned and operated business. Jack Williams Tire operates 31 retail locations in northeastern and central Pennsylvania and 12 wholesale locations in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.
