LITDA presents four college scholarships

The Louisiana Independent Tire Dealers Association (LITDA) is awarding $2,000 scholarships to four recipients of its 2015 Scholarship.

The awards are given to high school students or students enrolled in an accredited college or vocational school and are children or legal wards of an owner, manager or employee of an active LITDA member company. The recipients are chosen based on their academic excellence and proven community leadership abilities.

Katelyn Anderson, Addis, La., is the daughter of Michael and Stacy Gee, Chabill’s Tire. She is a senior at Brusly High School in Brusly, La. and plans to attend Louisiana State University (LSU) to pursue a doctorate in psychology.

Charles C. Barron III, Berwick, La., is the son of Charles and Beth Barron, Chabill’s Tire. He is a senior at Central Catholic High School in Morgan City, La. and plans to attend LSU to study civil engineering.

Cole Holley, Gonzales, La., is the son of Miles and Melissa Holley, Skid Marks Tire Pros. He is a senior at East Ascension High School in Gonzales, La. and plans to attend Nicholls State University to study business administration.

Hannah Rae Jones, Denham Springs, La., is the daughter of Darryl and Susan Jones, Skid Marks Tire Pros. She is a freshman at LSU studying mechanical engineering.

The recipients were honored March 7, 2015, during the LITDA 2015 Hall of Fame Banquet at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in Baton Rouge, La.
