Falken Tire becomes sponsor to Optima Ultimate Streetcar Series

In an expanded motorsports marketing effort to reach distinctive audiences and inform them about the strength and value of Falken tires – in particular, the popular Falken RT615K – the brand has announced an official sponsorship with the Optima Ultimate Streetcar Series.

Known as the “Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car” (OSUSC) that includes involvement at numerous levels and top billing at all road course portions of the multiple event competitions held at racetracks across the U.S.
 
The OSUSC series was developed to prove the streetability and high performance capability of high performance automotive parts in a safe and exciting atmosphere.  Televised on MAVTV, all OSUSC events feature 5 competitive activities for true street legal cars taking place at iconic tracks over a weekend that will award series points and event winners. Event winners and top points earners by the end of the series will all receive coveted invites to the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational that takes place in Las Vegas every year during the SEMA show.
 
Falken Tire will further leverage its brand’s exposure at key events by supporting top competitors, with expectations that many will meet in Las Vegas, where the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational will be held.
 
“The people who participate and come to watch the Optima Ultimate Streetcar Series are true performance enthusiasts,” stated Nick Fousekis, Falken’s Director of Motorsports Marketing and Events.  “These are the consumers we naturally want to meet and build relationships with.  Falken intends on utilizing our sponsorship with a full schedule of marketing programs supported by our aggressive social media efforts.”
 
“Many of those competing are already familiar with Falken, particularly our RT615K tire, which has developed such a strong reputation for both street and track use, which we have successfully demonstrated in Formula Drift,” added Jonathon Bradford, Falken’s Motorsports Marketing and Events Manager.  “Obviously, we want more drivers to experience the capabilities of this tire.”

To further promote its involvement with the Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car, Falken will place series brand identification on its Porsche 911 RSR that will next run at the TUSC 12 Hours of Sebring.
