Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. has named Yasushi Takagi executive vice president and chief operating officer of its Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. subsidiary.
Takagi will work with staff in all departments "to continuously evaluate sales and marketing efforts in the United States and create plans for the future," say Toyo officials.
From January 2006 to August 2008, Takagi served as general manager, corporate planning department, for Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd.
"In this role, he coordinated with all entities of Toyo, both tires and Divertech, a company which manages and oversees both chemical and industrial products as well as an automotive parts division."
Takagi also is the author of Toyo's "Mid-Term Plan ’08" and "Vision 15," which outline Toyo's strategies and goals for global expansion by the its 70th anniversary in 2015.
