Nexen Tire Corp. is creating a new headquarters for its North and South American markets. The Nexen North and South American Headquarters (AHQ) will be located at the Nexen Tire America home office in Diamond Bar, Calif.
The company says the main purpose for creating AHQ was to strategically manage the American markets, including Canada, Mexico and South America, and to develop strategies to help drive brand awareness and recognition of the products and services Nexen Tire offers.
B.W. Lee, previous vice president of Nexen Tire Korea (NTK,) will head the new AHQ office, while James Kwon will continue to serve as CEO of Nexen Tire America.
Prior to joining NTK, Lee headed the sales and marketing team for Samsung electronics for 30 years. He is experienced in sales and marketing overseas including the UK, South Africa, Poland, Russia and Dubai. Lee’s contribution to NTK assisted in doubling the company’s sales since his arrival.
“We are expecting a lot growth within the North American tire industry, including Canada," says Lee, "and because of this I would like to expand our network and maximize our growing Nexen brand awareness."
