In front of a crowd of 40,000 enthusiastic fans, the Max-D Monster truck with BKT tires won the freestyle event at the Monster Jam held in Detroit this past weekend.
BKT Tires USA Inc. is the official tire of the Monster Jam Championship Series. The company had a booth at the event during the Pit Party manned by Tire Wholesalers of Troy, Mich., team members.
The Max-D truck is the first truck Monster Truck to sport BKT tires. The plan is to eventually have all the vehicles equipped with the brand, according to the show promoters. The new BKT FL-353 bias high flotation tires are size 66x43-25.
Each tire/wheel unit weighs approximately 700 pounds, the “Trivia Quiz” board told the audience. BKT received a lot of publicity as stadium announcers frequently called out BKT as the official Monster Jam tire sponsor and the company to turn to for tires for lawn mowers to agricultural and construction vehicles.
