Nexen wins three international design awards

Nexen Tire Corp. won a U.S. Good Design Award for its Roadian HTX RH5 SUV/LTV tire. In addition, the company’s N’Fera RU5 won the Korean Good Design Awards and N’blue Premium won the Korean Pin up Design Awards.

The U.S. Good Design Awards is a design awards program organized annually by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design (Illinois) in cooperation with the European Center for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.

Nexen says the Roadian HTX RH5 has an outstanding handling performance and riding comfort on various roads and also strengthened traction off-road.

Nexen also won two Korean design competitions.

* The N’Fera RU5, a premium SUV tire, won the Korean Good Design Awards, a competition organized by The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Korea Institute of Design Promotion.

* The N’blue Premium won the Pin up Award, which is organized by the Korea Association of Industrial Designers and The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

Nexen will continue to improve its product competitiveness in the global market through continuous R&D investment, according to Han Min-hyun, vice president and R&D director.
