Hankook, Dealers Host Events for Disabled Veterans

Dec. 31, 2019

In 2019,  Hankook Tire America Corp. partnered with its dealers to host 12 Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Mobile Service Office (MSO) stops, which provide free services to U.S. military veterans and their families. The tour was part of the tiremaker's ongoing Hankook Heroes program.

"At Hankook, our partnership with DAV continues to be one of our most important missions, and together, we work to support our veterans through mobility and free assistance and services where they live," says Hankook President Hosung Suh. "We appreciate our national network of tire dealers for hosting such positive events and making it possible for our heroes and their loved ones to get the assistance they so greatly deserve."

Participating dealers and locations included A&L Tire & Auto of San Antonio, Texas; the Black's Tire & Auto Service location in Fayetteville, N.C.; Brown's Point S Tire & Auto in Portland, Ore.; Centerville Tire Factory in Centerville, Utah; CJ's Tire & Automotive in Lansdale, Pa.; Gateway Tire in Clarksville, Tenn.; an NTW location in Marietta, Ga.; Peerless Tires 4 Less in Colorado Springs, Colo.; S&S Tire in Avondale, Ariz.; Suburban Auto in Jacksonville, Fla.; Tires First in Columbus, Ga.; and Trotta Tire in Miami, Fla.

The stops "bring DAV benefits directly to veterans at tire dealerships in their local communities, which helps reduce the distance that many must travel to obtain their Veterans Affairs benefits and other services," according to Hankook officials.

"Hosting the Hankook-DAV MSO program was such a positive experience," says Peerless Tires 4 Less General Manager Art Prott. "For Peerless, it was our chance to show our respect and appreciation to our local veterans, as well."

Hankook also presented DAV with a check totaling $175,000 during the organization's national convention this past August.
