Dec. 16, 2019

Five VIP Tires & Service stores raised $20,720 for their local school districts as part of Oil Changes for Education campaigns this fall. The stores offered $10 oil changes to consumers and donated the proceeds to schools. Stores in these communities made donations to their local school districts:

Topsham, Maine - $4,460

Westbrook, Maine - $4,440

Lawrence, Mass. – $5,090

Gorham, N.H. – $2,690

Rochester, N.H. – $3,860

Tim Winkeler, CEO and president of VIP, says, “Being able to make these donations is meaningful to us. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and for thinking of us for their automotive needs.”

VIP’s Oil Changes for Education program ran from early September through mid-November at the five participating stores. To-date, VIP has raised $32,005 for school systems across New England.

Winkeler says, “VIP Tires & Service plans to continue this program in the future. Supporting our local communities is part of our company culture and something all of our employees can get behind.”

VIP operates 59 locations throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts providing retail and wholesale tires and installation, and automotive services. The company holds the No. 20 spot on the Modern Tire Dealer 100 list.
