Technicians Influence the Look, Feel of Tech's New Packaging

Nov. 7, 2019

After 80 years in business, Tech International is investing in the future with a new look, with added updates to packaging based on user input.

The new packaging for Tech's Tire & Wheel service product lines feature a modern look, but also offer easier product identification to help technicians speed up the repair process. Upgraded containers for repair chemicals are plastic and feature wider brushes and a flip-top lid so dispensing and applying the product is easier.

Tech International is a wholly-owned company of Technical Rubber Co. (TRC).

“We’re very excited to roll out this new packaging for our customers, which garnered great feedback during testing,” said Joe Cole, global brand and marketing leader for TRC. “It’s important for us to be environmentally friendly, while also maintaining a great user experience for our customers who are using these products. We feel the new packaging accomplishes both of these goals.”

In addition to providing benefits such as being impervious to rust and more resistant to denting, the new plastic containers also performed better ergonomically during testing with tire technicians. And, following TRC’s "4-R" vision of repair, reuse, recycle and repurpose, the new plastic containers are made from recycled materials and can be recycled and reused.
