Les Schwab Grabs Top Spot in 2 Customer Satisfaction Rankings

Two of the largest independent tire dealers in the U.S. earned the highest customer satisfaction scores in a new ranking of the aftermarket by J.D. Power and Associates. But the survey shows there's plenty of competition nipping at their heels.

The rankings are based on the responses of 12,554 vehicle owners conducted in August and September 2019 for the first U.S. Aftermarket Service Index Study, conducted by J.D. Power and SurveyMonkey.

Based on a 1,000-point scale, here's how the retailers ranked in the tire replacement customer satisfaction index ranking, with their score. (Read the full details of the survey, including what was most important to consumers, here.)

This is a look at the ranking in the general maintenance category. Notably, there are a number of tire retailers listed here, too. They're also based on a 1,000-point scale for customer satisfaction. Christian Brothers Automotive and Les Schwab tied for the top spot.

Les Schwab holds the No. 5 spot on the Modern Tire Dealer 100 list of largest independent tire dealers in the U.S. That list is led by Discount Tire, with 1,033 stores under the Discount Tire and America's Tire banners.

In the J.D. Power list for tire replacement, four of the five largest tire dealers are represented. The one missing from that list — Monro Inc. — grabbed a spot in the general maintenance category.
