Rafael (Tony) Lugioyo is the new head of global sales for Global Rubber Industries (Pvt) Ltd. (GRI). The hire to its senior sales team was made "to increase the momentum of the company’s rapid global expansion with its portfolio of specialty tires."
More specifically, Lugioyo will lead GRI’s efforts to expand its sales, distribution and dealer network to support the full scope of its agriculture and construction tire lines. GRI added ag and construction tires to its industrial tire lineup in 2018.
Lugioyo joins GRI with more than 28 years of industry experience, both in the United States and internationally. He was a founding partner of Tire Distributors Inc. 2000, one of four companies he has co-founded. He joined Hercules Tire & Rubber co. as managing director and equity partner from June 2006 to Jan. 2014. He then joined American Tire Distributors Inc. as managing director through June of 2015.
He has also worked with Major Tires Co., Laramie Tire Distributors and Kelly Springfield Tire Co.
Lugioyo founded Southeastern Investments LLC in April 2016 and is still with the company.
